Well, Gus has survived Rotavirus. After a month, he's back to his normal weight and vigor. We seem to have shed all vestiges of Rota and I think it's finally past news. Thank goodness.

Gus is still teething, but these current issues must certainly be his last baby teeth. He has a mouth full of teeth. I think he may have more teeth than I do. He's learning to talk and doing very well at it. Yesterday, he said the word "star" while he was pointing to a star in a book. Not bad for 17 months.

A couple of weeks back, we took the Light Rail line from Fort Snelling to the Mall of America. It was just Gus and I and we had a blast. The new MSP stop is really nice. We got off there to look around and shake some rowdies on the train. It was a Saturday morning and the kids were on their way to the MOA. As a general note for anyone interested out there, MOA is packed on winter weekends where it's too cold and crappy outside to do much of anything. We did our shopping and came back home. It was a lot of fun and Gus was very entertained by the whole thing.

We also got out to look at cars again. This time we stopped by the Toyota dealership and looked at the Highlander. We had high hopes for this vehicle, but we were disappointed to find we just didn't fit very well. Again, Sarah's legs are a bit long for most of these sorts of vehicles. We didn't even take it out.

We also stopped back at the Ford dealership to try out the AWD Freestyle. It was still reallly cool and the AWD didn't seem to ding performance that much. Sarah also had a small issue with the seat in that Freestyle as well, but it could just have been poorly adjusted. We haven't crossed it off the list, but it is now a solid second to the Endeavor.

I've been tooling around in the Volvo a bit lately. It is still having charging issues, but it only needs to be on the charger once every 10 or so trips as opposed to every other trip like before. There's also some electrical gremlins living behind the instrument cluster that I'd like to suss out before too long. I'm still considering trading it for something, but right now I just don't have the time to do anything with it.
